1. About this policy

This policy explains what data the Govor web app processes, where it is stored, and how you can control it. By using Govor, you agree to the data processing described below.

2. Data on your device

Govor stores app data in browser storage on your device. This may include:

• text added to and saved in your library;
• reading position, voice, speed, and other settings;
• your custom pronunciation dictionary;
• local model files and temporary audio cache;
• interface files cached so the app can start without an internet connection;
• your acceptance of the current legal documents and your usage statistics preference.

Imported files are processed in your browser. In the current free version, Govor does not receive their contents.

3. Network requests

Your browser connects to Govor infrastructure to open the app and download voices for the first time. As with any regular website visit, the hosting provider and content delivery network may process technical data such as your IP address, browser and device type, request date, time, and resource path. This data is needed to deliver the app, provide security, and diagnose failures.

The free version does not send document text to a speech server. Usage statistics through Yandex Metrica are enabled only with your separate consent. They are off by default.

With your consent, Metrica receives app screen names and events for adding a document, requesting speech, starting playback, and starting or completing a voice download. On a download failure, only its technical category, stage, and model file number are sent; on a speech failure, only the failed stage is sent. A successful playback start includes the engine type. Raw errors and document contents are never sent. If you arrived through a Telegram link with a campaign label, a general campaign label is added to the first page view. If you came directly to the website from Yandex Direct, the first page view also includes the yclid ad click identifier and, when present, a campaign label. We do not send document text or titles, audio, pronunciation dictionary contents, or Telegram profile data to Metrica. Events also exclude the full Mini App launch URL and Telegram parameters. Yandex may process technical connection and browser data, including IP addresses and cookie identifiers, under its own rules.

You can withdraw consent at any time in Govor settings. Once disabled, the app stops sending new events. Cookies already set and data retained by Yandex can be removed through your browser settings and by contacting Yandex.

4. Telegram

The app may load the Telegram Web Apps library. When you open Govor as a Telegram Mini App, Telegram may provide launch context and profile fields available to a Mini App, such as your identifier, name, username, and language. Govor uses this context only to operate inside Telegram and does not send your document text with it to a Govor server.

Telegram's own processing is governed by the Telegram Privacy Policy.

5. Retention and deletion

Local data remains on your device until you remove individual documents, downloaded voices, or Govor site data in your browser settings. Clearing Govor site data removes the local library, settings, and model from that browser.

Technical log retention depends on infrastructure settings and security requirements. Govor does not use these logs to build advertising profiles.

6. Service providers

Govor uses Timeweb infrastructure to host and deliver the app. With your consent, Yandex Metrica processes usage statistics. Telegram processes data when the app is opened inside Telegram. Support emails are handled by the sender's and recipient's email services. Govor does not sell personal data.

7. Security and your actions

We aim to minimize transmitted data and keep documents on your device. No storage method is completely secure. Protect access to your device and browser, especially if you save confidential text.

8. Policy changes

If data processing or app functionality changes substantially, we will update this page and its effective date. The app may ask you to accept the documents again after a material change.
